About Siddhi Traders

Siddhi Traders is a chain of retail and Wholesale shops dealing with building and construction material supplies and piping material. They have a total 15 outlets in Maharashtra out of which 10 outlets are located in city suburbs. They have store houses or warehouses located near our outlets and approximately 25 employees are ready to serve our customers at each outlet. About 900 to 1500 customers approach everyday depending on our location.

Challenges

Around 1500 prospects visit their shop every day, yet all of them do not buy material. Many of them approach for the idea about the quality of products and their rates. They want to confirm about the possibility of supply from supplier end at their desired time and total expenditure expected during such purchase. To such customers they need to give a quotation to them. Giving a quotation does not necessarily create business at instant but after 2 to 3 days or whenever a customer wants to build, he approaches and purchases the material so it is quite important to give proper quotations to all of our customers. Every customer has a list of items which includes building construction material like cement, Steel and outfitted items like doors, Windows or any other piping material. So making a quotation itself is a time consuming task where one of our accountant employees gets engaged, who takes the data from the computer and makes a quotation. It takes approximately 8 to 10 minutes to offer a quotation. So in rush hour we may need to take the help of 2 to 3 employees. So they were looking at whether they can reduce that time or reduce the number of employees getting engaged in making a quotation.
